Christmas Celebration

Have you enjoyed working with us this year? Come along and kick-start the festive season with all your friends from Canberra Dramatics at the Christmas Celebration being held at Tuggeranong Arts Centre on 30 November. Canberra Dramatics will be celebrating another great year and announcing plans for the coming year following the reading of The Incident at Fugue Bay. This will also be an opportunity for a preview of the great things to come in 2009.

Call For Scripts

There's a certain advantage to being on at the Festival on the first night - you get the nerve-wracking performance out of the way and then relax and enjoy everyone else's performances. There's also a certain disadvantage in that by Sunday afternoon, your performances aren't quite at the forefront of everyone's mind, since they've seen a number of others in between.

Many discussions around the foyer of Theatre 3 this weekend revolved around the article in Saturday's Panorama, written by our own Trevar Alan Chilver, in response to an earlier article by Adele Chynoweth. I strongly recommend you find a copy and have a read, as the arguments and ideas presented provide food-for-thought for all those involved with amateur theatre in the ACT.
